Nabakishore Singh appointed as new Chief Electoral officer in Manipur

Imphal: O Nabakishore Singh, Principal Secretary to Manipur government, has been appointed as new Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of the state by the Election Commission, official sources said on Tuesday.

Sources said the official order appointing Mr Singh as CEO was issued on Monday and he has taken over charge of the CEO in addition to the Principal Secretary (Commerce and industries).

 Mr Singh, a 1984 IAS officer of Manipur-Tripura cadre, replaced additional chief secretary P C Lawmkunga who was holding additional charge of CEO.
