Panaji: Konrad Torrado, brother of late Nadia, has been shifted to hospital after he went into depression following the arrest of his mother on charges of destruction of evidence and abetment to suicide of her daughter, family sources said on Sunday.
Konrad, an MBA gold medalist, has been shifted to state-run Institute of Psychiatric and Human (IPHB) after he developed suicidal tendency soon after the arrest of his mother, Sonia, on Saturday, they said.
"He is on anti-depressant pills as his condition worsened yesterday," a doctor at IPHB told PTI.
Goa police had arrested Sonia in connection with Nadia's death case, in which former Goa Tourism Minister is an accused.
Sonia has been charged with culpable homicide, destruction of evidence and abetment to suicide, according to police.
Nadia had consumed poison on May 15 and subsequently died after a fortnight.
Konrad was earlier quizzed by Crime Branch in connection with Nadia's death.
