NDA Government has spent over 10K crore for development of railways in North East: PM Modi

 

As a part of BJP government's North East outreach, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is addressing a rally in Meghalya's capital Shillong on his government's achievements in two years in power and plans for development of the North Eastern region.

I want to appeal to my doctor friends. On 9th of every month, can they treat poor pregnant women for free, give them medicines for free. If they give 12 days out of 12 months to them, this will help poor mothers a lot.

The Cleanliness Mission Is For The Poor: PM Modi At Mega Rally.

I am grateful to the people, media, social organisations and especially the youth. That they have made the mission of cleanliness their own. For whom is this mission? It is not for the rich, it is for the poor. Because if they fall sick, they stop earning. And they spend 7000 per year on a sick person. If there is cleanliness, this can be prevented.

Friends, the gas cylinder was made a thing for the rich by the past governments. Poor weren't allowed to dream of gas ovens. Poor mothers were made to take smokes of 400 cigarettes when the cooked on wood and coal.
I told the people, if you can afford it, give up the gas subsidy. 1 crore families have given up subsidy this is not a small thing.
So last year we gave gas connections to 3 crore poor families. And plant to give 5 crore more in next 3 years to families.

Friends, remember the newspapers, TV news 2 years ago. There were frequent reports and discussions of scams. So much wealth has been looted. I am shocked, were those powerful people sent to loot the wealth of public? I have taken measures to stop this loot. 2 years ago no one would have dared to stand amid the people and give their account to the people: PM Modi
