Gandhinagar:
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was once again the target of attack in Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's speech at an election rally.
"There were three blasts in Assam in a week, the state our Prime Minister comes from. He is elected from there. He is clearly a weak Prime Minister. Do we need a medical test or check his blood group before stating the obvious," said Narendra Modi, Chief Minister, Gujarat.
Modi's dig at the Prime Minister did not go unchallenged and this time it was Pranab Mukherjee's turn to the constant charge that Manmohan is a weak Prime Minister.
"Prime Ministers are not expected to be the wrestlers. Prime Minister is expected to deliver the goods. For the last five years Manmohan Singh has provided the leadership of a complex coalition," said Pranab Mukherjee, External Affair Minister.
