Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will not attend the meeting of National Integration Council (NIC) to be held in Delhi today.
Sources in the Chief Minister's office here said Modi will not take part in the NIC meet.
"This meeting has many members. The Chief Minister usually goes for meetings convened by the Centre for Chief Ministers. In the past also, Modi did not attend such meetings," the sources said.
The NIC meeting will be chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Modi is currently engaged in a confrontation with the Gujarat Governor Kamla on the issue of appointment of Lokayukta.
