New Delhi:
The chairman of Jet Airways has met the Civil Aviation Minister for over an hour to discuss the ongoing crisis with his airline. Sources say that Jet's management will stick to its stand: pilots must report to work immediately if they want their concerns to be resolved. Praful Patel has reportedly made it clear that the government doesn't want to intervene unless passengers are seriously affected.
More than 400 pilots called in sick today on the second day of a mass protest against 2 senior Jet pilots being sacked. 200 flights have been cancelled.
The government is relieved that with Jet SMSing passengers and sharing information on cancelled flights, passengers have today confronted less chaos than yesterday.
