Megastar Amitabh Bachchan may lend his baritone voice to narrate the story of river Narmada which is the lifeline of Madhya Pradesh.
This was stated by his wife and Rajya Sabha MP Jaya Bachchan on Tuesday while addressing the concluding function of the three-day International River Festival organised at the confluence of river Narmada and Tawaat Bandrabhan in Hoshangabad district.
Jaya, while underlining her relationship with Bhopal and Madhya Pradesh, said she would love to have Narmada's tale recorded in her husband's voice as part of her maiden contribution to Narmada conservation campaign, a release issued by the festival organisers said.
The Narmada Samagra Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Anil Dave said that to provide medical facilities to the tribals and other people living on the sidelines of river Narmada, a river ambulance facility would be launched soon.
These ambulances will be sourced from the US to cater to the needs of people living in catchment area of Bargi, Narmanda Sagar and Indira Sagar projects, he said.
