New Delhi:
As the heatwave conditions prevail across the country, 58 heat-stroke deaths have been reported from interior Orissa. The state government has declared only 8 heat related deaths.
Meanwhile, taking a cue from Madhya Pradesh that ordered early summer vacations, the Orissa government has also ordered closure of schools from the April 20.
Rajasthan government has also decided to start schools as early as 7 am and shut them by noon.
There is no likely relief for the capital as it recorded the maximum temperature for the month of April in 30 years. It simmered at 44 degree Celsius and such conditions are expected to prevail on Sunday as well.
