New Delhi: In an exclusive interview to NDTV, actor Kangana Ranaut, at the centre of an industrial-strength feud with Hrithik Roshan, said, "If a woman is sexually active, she's called a whore" and if she's "super-successful, she's called a psychopath".
Ms Ranaut has testified to the police in a criminal case filed by Mr Roshan, 42. He has said that Ms Ranaut has lied about once sharing a romantic relationship with him, and that emails and photos that she claims came from him were actually sent by a man posturing as him online. Ms Ranaut said that the criticism of her - partly because she has refused to cede that she may have been mistaken about whom she was communicating with - does hurt. But when it does, she said, "There's always cupcakes you can fall back on." Below are the highlights of her interview:

- If a woman is sexually active, she's called a whore
- Women can kill with success and sarcasm, why use hands?
- Sometimes you have bad days, but then you have cupcakes
- My journey is extraordinary, from a village to here
- I am not entitled to give my views on something which will be decided in court
- I don't know how to be anybody else than who I am
- It's been a roller coaster ride but I feel I am on the right track
