Close on the heels of the busting of a terror module by the Delhi Police, a three-day mock security drill will be conducted in the Gujarat capital, Gandhinagar, by the a team of National Security Guard (NSG) officials from today.
The mock drill comes following reports that the terror groups were aiming to strike during the election process. An official release issued in Ahmedabad stated that in view of the enhanced threat perception to vital installations in the state, an NSG team from Mumbai will carry out a three-day security mock drills in the state capital.
While a mock drill will be conducted today at Akshardham temple complex, on Wednesday, the drill will cover the state assembly. On the last day on Thursday, the state secretariat including the chief minister's office will be covered.
The drill will be held between 6 pm to 12 midnight on all the three days.
