New Delhi: Indian Navy's ship INS Kora suffered minor damage today after it was scraped by a merchant vessel near Visakhapatnam, the Navy confirmed.
The 2000-tonne ship, along with INS Gaj, another naval ship, was going from Visakhapatnam to Port Blair when the incident occurred. The merchant vessel, weighing 23,000 tonnes, was going from Chittagong to Colombo.
The Navy said in a statement that there has been no damage to the watertight integrity of the ship or any injuries or loss of life.
