On Tuesday evening about 50 Naxals torched the Ismailpur railway station on the Gaya-Delhi rail route in Bihar.
The Red Corridor is breathing fire. Many trucks were attacked on the Ranchi-Jamshedpur highway as their drivers dared to defy the two-day bandh called by the Naxals.
The bandh is against the arrest of two top Maoist leaders last week but Bihar Police deny they have arrested the two men and yet violence has spread in Naxal-hit areas of Bihar and Jharkhand.
"The trucks were standing at a restaurant, the Naxals came, assaulted the drivers and then set the trucks on fire," said Anup T Mathew, SP, Rural, Ranchi.
On Monday, the first day of the bandh Naxals blew up a railway track in Latehar district in Jharkhand. The Delhi-Ranchi Rajdhani Express had passed the spot just an hour ago.
In Palamau Naxals blew up a BSNL mobile phone tower. The real damage in these attacks have not been great but the message was clear, Naxals could strike at will in these parts.
