Nagpur: A State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) jawan was today allegedly shot dead by Naxals in Maharashtra's Gadchiroli district, police said.
RR Pande (50) of the SRPF group IV, Nagpur, was escorting an ailing colleague to a local health centre at Fulbodi Gatta village in Dhanora tehsil when a group of the ultras opened fired on him from a distance.
He was killed on the spot, they said.
