Naxals have killed a police officer they had kidnapped in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district.
Sub inspector Nilesh Pandey (27) was shot dead last night near Chinger Nala under Kutru police station in Raipur, Bijapur SP Prashant Agarwal told PTI. He had been forced off a bus by the alleged Naxals when he was on his way to Bijapur last night and taken away. Mr Agarwal said that the body was found early this morning.
The body is being brought to Bijapur, from where it would be sent to his native place Bilaspur, Mr Agarwal said.
