Chhattisgarh: The Naxals in Chhattisgarh have triggered a landmine on the Dantewada Highway targeting three buses full of jawans. Initial reports say two jawans of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) have been killed and two are critically injured.

The SSB jawans had had finished their tenure in Dantewada and was to be deployed in Assam.

The blast took place just after Gidamm which is about two hours from Raipur, on the main highway N-16 which connects Raipur to Dantewada.

Helicopters have been sent to help out. Rescue forces and local policemen have been asked not to use the highway in their attempts to reach the site of the accident. They've been told to cut across the adjoining forests and hills.

Dantewada saw some fierce Naxal attacks last year. In April 2010, 75 CRPF men and a local police constable were killed in an ambush. Only a month a later, Naxals bombed a bus carrying civilians that also had on board some jawans.
