Mumbai: Nationalist Congress Party or NCP Chief and former union minister Sharad Pawar is scheduled to undergo a surgery at a private hospital in Mumbai tomorrow after he sustained a leg injury from a fall at his Delhi residence and was flown.
"Pawar will undergo a surgery at the Breach Candy hospital tomorrow morning," NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik told PTI.
"Pawar sustained leg fracture after a fall at his Delhi residence. Doctors will perform a minor surgery and mend the injury point on his leg," senior NCP leader Praful Patel had said yesterday.
He will be required to be in the hospital for seven-eight days, Mr Patel said.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and senior minister Vinod Tawde were among those who visited the hospital yesterday to enquire about Mr Pawar's health.
