Prime Minister Narendra Modi addresses a public meeting at Balasore in Odisha on June 2. Union Oil Minister Dharmendra Pradhan along with Mr Panda today visited Balasore and inspected preparations ahead of the Prime Minister's visit.

- We have seen this over the years. But this is the first time that we have observed that even after 2 years the government is getting so much love, support and blessings from the people.

- Balasore is also known as the missile city.
- Balasore has importance not only in India, but across the world for this very reason.
- When Mahatma Gandhi started the revolt against the British. The Dandi march sowed the seeds of Democracy and gave confidence and belief to the people of the country.
- When Mahatma Gandhi was doing his Satyagraha, it was this land that supported him and did a salt satyagraha in support, to send a strong message to the British.

- I have come to the land of Lord Jagannath. He is the god of the poor people. I salute this great land. Famous poet Kalidas had given the title 'Lord of the Sea' to the king of Kalinga.
