NDTV would like to issue a clarification on a report carried today pertaining to a leaked CAG report on Mumbai's Ashirwad housing committee. The NDTV report named Maharashtra Finance Secretary Sudhirkumar Srivastav as one of the officers who had a flat when he applied for a membership in the Ashirwad society.
It has been brought to our notice that the final report to be tabled in assembly does not name Mr Srivastav, though the leaked documents by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) did.
A statement from Mr Srivastav clarifies, "the allegation that I already had a flat when I applied for a membership in Ashirwad society is a serious offence. I have thirty years of service behind me and I or my family members have no flat in Mumbai."
NDTV would like to apologise for this error.
