Some 150 passengers, including Nepal's Foreign Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat, today had some anxious moments when the tyre of an aircraft of Nepal Airlines burst and the plane suffered minor damage while landing at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.
A rear tire of the flight from Delhi to Kathmandu burst and the country's only international airport has been closed after the plane got stuck at runway.
All flights in and out of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) were halted for an hour after a tyre of Nepal Airlines Corporation Airbus A320 burst during landing, Kathmandu Post reported.
Minister Mahat was returning home after completing his two-day official visit to India to set the stage for upcoming trip of Prime Minister Prachanda from Thursday.
