New Delhi: NITI Aayog has suggested that a national public-private partnership (PPP) policy be formulated regarding the objective and scope of such projects, Parliament was informed on Friday.

"It has suggested that the policy should incorporate broad procedures and processes for adoption of a uniform approach on key issues that have impacted the growth of PPPs," Minister of State for Planning Rao Inderjit Singh said in a written reply in Lok Sabha.

He was replying to the question if the NITI Aayog has suggested formulation of a comprehensive national policy to regulate PPP projects.

In the Union Budget 2015-16, the government had announced setting up a new entity, namely 3P India to provide support to mainstreaming PPP projects.
