Bhopal: Strange as it may sound, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan does not use or carry a cellphone with him.
Chouhan says that he does not use a mobile phone as he feels that it would distract him when he is working.
However, the absence of the widely-used technology does not make him inaccessible to people in the state, who can reach him on his land-line phone or via his assistants, he said.
The Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister said that he was not "perturbed" with the poll results as "losing and winning elections is part of the game. Democracy will cease to have any meaning if only one party wins elections all the time".
He appealed to all political parties to work together for the development of the country irrespective of their ideological differences.
Insisting that he never considered Congress leaders as rivals, Chouhan said that he talks frequently to Madhya Pradesh Congress President Suresh Pachauri and Union Ministers Kamalnath and Jyotiraditya Scindia.
Asked if he is also in touch with Congress General Secretary and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh, he said, "Yes, I speak to him also".
