Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir: A top Indian Army commander has said it would not be correct to correlate the surgical strike carried out inside Myanmar on Tuesday with the situation on the Kashmir border, where a similar "hot pursuit" is not possible.
When NDTV asked General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Army's 15 Corps, Lieutenant General Subrata Saha, about India's latest strike, he said "What action we take, what response we do is clearly related to operational circumstances. I would not like to do a correlation in the manner you suggest. There has been an operation, to which there has been a very effective response."
"This year we have had late snowfall that's why we are seeing an element of desperation, to that extent and an increase in intensity in a short duration. Because of the robust counter infiltration grid, so far all attempts have been foiled. The counter infiltration grid will take any challenge that comes its way," said Lt Gen Saha.
