New Delhi: An Indian national has been arrested in a rape case in Zimbabwe's Harare, but reports of a cricketer's involvement are false, foreign ministry sources have told NDTV.
"We have spoken to our Ambassador to Zimbabwe. The report is totally false. No Indian cricketer is involved," a source in the ministry said.

Quoting a report in a Zimbabwe daily, a section of Indian media had reported that a cricketer -- whose name has been withheld by the local authorities -- has been arrested.
The complaint came from a woman who had alleged that she had been drugged and then assaulted at the Meikles hotel in Harare, where the Indian team is staying.
