New Delhi: ULFA chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa has said there can be no peace talks from jail.
Rajkhowa said when they are not free, it is not possible for ULFA to give any communication on their stand on negotiations.
Chief Minister of Assam, Tarun Gogoi, meanwhile, told reporters that there could be no talks without communication from ULFA expressing willingness to do so.
The founding member and chairman of the United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA), Arabinda Rajkhowa, was arrested in Dhaka in December and flown to New Delhi soon after. "Talks cannot happen with handcuffs on,", Rajkhowa had said in court in December.
