Coimbatore: When queried about whether he had extended support to the ruling party to allegedly seek clearance for his controversial movie 'Messenger of God', he said there was no political interference in the issue and a tribunal has ordered the film's release.
He claimed that he was fighting to make the society free from the evils of drug and of violence against women. The film, said Mr Singh, was produced to propagate his ideology. His next film, MSG 2, ws almost 70 to 80 per cent complete and would touch on the issue of corruption, he said.
Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh today ruled out the possibility of forming a political party.
"There is no thought of starting a political party. I am happy serving the people the way I am doing," he said.
When pointed out that he had extended support to the BJP in the just-concluded polls for Delhi Assembly, he said a section of his of followers had drawn up a list of issues to be tackled, including the drug mafia, female infanticide and atrocities against women, and only BJP lawmakers had responded to it. So the outfit had decided to support the party, he claimed.
