Hyderabad:
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah has told NDTV that there will be no resolution on Telangana in the state Assembly.
Caught in the middle of a growing political storm over the proposed statehood for Telangana, Rosaiah said on Saturday that the reaction of the MLAs from coastal Andhra and Rayalseema to the Home Minister P Chidambaram's midnight announcement had anguished and surprised him.
He said it was hard to find a solution when emotions were running high and ruled out a resolution on a new Telangana state in the Andhra Assembly.
He had told the Central leadership that it would be very difficult to pass such a resolution on Telangana, Rosaiah added.
The chief minister said he was "in constant touch with all parties concerned."
