No security cameras at High Court gates despite May blast

No security cameras at High Court gates despite May blast
New Delhi: Identifying who is behind a briefcase bomb that exploded this morning at the Delhi High Court will have to be accomplished without the help of security cameras. Ten people have died and at least 56 have been injured.

Sources confirm that all gates of the Delhi High Court do not have CCTV. This security lapse was highlighted in May this year when a bomb exploded in a parking lot near the same court.

Today's blast took place at Gate No 5 at a counter where entry permits are issued to visitors. The bomb was placed in a briefcase.

Home Minister P Chidambaram said this afternoon in Parliament that at this stage, it is not possible to name the group behind the latest terror attack. The National Investigating Agency (NIA) is handling the case.
