No Taliban in India, says Army

New Delhi: Commander of the Indian Army's Northern Command Lt General B S Jaswal has ruled out the presence of Taliban in India.

Jaswal said that the Taliban is too preoccupied in Pakistan and it is not possible for the Taliban to cross into India without Pakistan's support.

"As far as Taliban is concerned, as of now I think they are too involved with Pakistan," he said.

He added, "Pakistan has taken on the Taliban, the so called Pakistan-based Taliban, they are sorting them out. In such a scenario for the Taliban to come in over here without the support of Pakistan, is not possible."
