New Delhi: After lunch and dinner, the Aam Aadmi Party or AAP has organised a "tea with Kejriwal", to collect donations for the party ahead of Assembly elections in Delhi. At Rs 20,000 a head.
The event has been organised in Delhi tomorrow by former Delhi Law Minister Somnath Bharti, who said, "This High Tea is a fund-raising event to collect donations ahead of elections where attendees will be charged Rs. 20,000 each." He also shared a video on social media appealing to people to donate for AAP.
AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal has already attended fund-raising dinners in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru in the recent past. The party has reportedly raised over Rs 1.5 crore at these events.
"Whatever we gather from lunch, dinner or tea will be transparent," said AAP's Sanjay Singh today, adding, "Every penny spent by us on hoardings or pamphlets or advertisements will be put up on our website.
The AAP leader challenged the BJP and other parties "to do the same."
