New Delhi:
BSP parliamentarian Dhananjay Singh, who is in jail over the murder of a domestic help who was tortured at his Delhi home, has now been accused of raping a railway employee.
A 42-year-old woman has alleged that she was sexually assaulted by the MP between 2004 and 2009, the Delhi police have said. She has filed a complaint at an east Delhi police station.
"She says she was repeatedly raped by Singh at gunpoint and threatened with dire consequences if she reported him," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (East), Ajay Kumar.
"We have registered a case of rape and criminal intimidation against Singh. We are taking the victim for a medical examination today and her statement will be recorded by a magistrate," the cop added.
The 38-year-old MP from Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh is already facing charges of destroying evidence in the death of domestic help Rakhi Bhadra at his official residence on November 4.
