NSSO to Conduct Survey on 'Swacch Bharat' From May 1

Srinagar: The National Sample Survey Office (NSSO) is going to conduct a field survey on 'Swachh Bharat Mission' to collect data from the households in both the rural and urban areas of Kashmir division from May 1.

"The NSSO field survey on 'Swachh Bharat Mission' to collect data from the households in both the rural and urban areas of Ladakh and Kashmir division will start from May 1," an official spokesman said.

The Centre has already started the scheme of 'Swachh Bharat Mission', which is a national campaign, covering 4041 Statutory Towns of country to clean the streets, roads and infrastructure of the country.

"The main objective of mission is to make India Clean at the grass root level in all spheres including the facility of toilets at public and private places. The first report on Swachh Bharat Mission will be released after the completion of survey conducted by NSSO," the spokesman said.

Altaf Hussain Haji, Director National Sample Survey Office (NSSO) has sought cooperation from public by providing real data of the survey to the officials, he added.
