Chandigarh: The Haryana government, today, cancelled the examinations for Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM) and General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) courses, conducted last year, owing to the alleged irregularities in the examination.
Additional Chief Secretary (Health), Ram Niwas said that various irregularities were detected in the examination for Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery and General Nursing and Midwifery courses, conducted in November last year, in which about 8,000 nursing students had appeared.
"The examination to the ANM and GNM courses, has now been cancelled. It was found that the examination was not conducted by a proper authority, besides other irregularities. The result of the students who took the exam had been withheld. Now, the examination will be held again," he said.
