A group of 10 youths vandalized the office of The Arunachal Times, the oldest daily in the state, last night.
A few other youths waited outside when the vandalism was in progress with the attackers leaving the office after about 10 minutes, police sources said.
No employee was, however, physically harmed. Chief Minister Nabam Tuki, who is in Delhi, has issued direction to his political secretary Bamang Tago and additional PRO Rup Jyoti Pater to look into the matter.
"No stone will be left unturned to bring the culprits to book," Mr Tago told members of the Arunachal Pradesh Union of Working Journalists (APUWJ) and Arunachal Press Club (APC) which registered strong protest against the incident.
