Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO Of Ola, has reported a remarkable surge in electric scooter sales during the festive season. Mr Aggarwal said that his company has sold a scooter “every 10 seconds”.
Sharing the news on X, Mr Aggarwal said, “Our sales have gone through the roof this Dussehra and Navratri! Selling a scooter every 10 seconds right now, and almost 2.5x of last year! India's EV moment is here this festive season!”

India's EV movement is characterised by the government's ambitious EV 2030 targets. These goals entail the transformation of 30% of privately owned cars, 70% of commercial vehicles, and 80% of two- and three-wheelers into electric alternatives.
Meanwhile, Mr Aggarwal's post has received much love and appreciation on social media.

Ola Electric has an extensive lineup of five electric scooters available in the Indian market.
In August, the company came up with three new models: S1 Air, S1 Pro Gen2, and the S1X, each available in three different variants.
This broad range of models comes with price points ranging from ₹90,000 to ₹1.47 lakh (ex-showroom), catering to a diverse customer base. Ola Electric currently boasts the most extensive selection of electric scooters among its competitors, and this variety is expected to drive a surge in sales in the near future.
Every year, automobile sales see a steep rise during the festive season.
