National Conference working president Omar Abdullah has expressed grief over the death of a 19-year-old protester who was allegedly killed in firing by security forces in Jammu & Kashmir's Baramulla district on Monday. The former chief minister has asked for a probe into the incident.
"A probe should investigate the circumstances leading to this tragic incident and the truth should be revealed without any delay," Mr Abdullah said in a statement.
He extended his condolences to the family of Farooq Ahmed Bhat and prayed for the speedy recovery of those who have sustained injuries in the incident.
Mr Bhat was killed when security forces allegedly fired at demonstrators who were protesting on the second anniversary of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru's hanging in Baramulla district.
