Omar Abdullah had to spend two hours at the airport upon his arrival in New York.
New York:
Omar Abdullah shared in tweets on Sunday that he had to spend two hours at the airport after arriving in New York, for "random" secondary security checks.
"Thrice in three visits, the randomness is growing tiresome now," tweeted the former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, who is in the city to speak at an event.
The 46-year-old politician also referred to movie star Shah Rukh Khan, who had been vocal about his exasperation after being detained at the airport in Los Angeles earlier this year.
The actor has been held back at the New York and New Jersey airports before, because a man with the same name is on a US no-fly list of 80,000 people.

I just spent TWO hours in a holding area & this happens EVERY time. Unlike @iamsrk I don't even catch Pokemon to pass the time.

In August, the US had apologized to Mr Khan, 50, who had tweeted after yet another detention at a US airport: "Every damn time".I'm here to speak at an event organised by NYU but I almost wish I'd stayed at home instead. Ah well, that's two hours well & truly wasted!!
