Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah resumed work on Friday morning, after Governor N N Vohra rejected his resignation.
Omar resigned on Tuesday, hours after PDP leader Muzzafar Baig claimed in the state Assembly that the CM's name figured in a list of suspects in the Srinagar sex abuse case.
Back in office, Omar said taking revenge was not his way of working, instead he would reach out to the Opposition.
The Governor had while rejecting Omar's resignation said there was no reason for the Chief Minister to resign after he got the matter probed by the Union Home Ministry.
Omar had said the allegations levelled against him by the PDP should be probed and if found true, the Governor must immediately accept his resignation. Omar had skipped his office and the Assembly on Wednesday, awaiting Governor's decision on his offer to quit.
Meanwhile, a stream of National Conference supporters had thronged his residence trying to persuade him to reconsider his decision to step down.
The 39-year-old CM had described the PDP allegation as "false and malicious". When asked by NDTV whether he reacted emotionally to the whole incident, Omar had said he didn't and stands by what he did. Omar also said he had never imagined the PDP would stoop so low.
