Sibsagar:
One person has been killed and seven injured after a blast took place in Sibsagar in Assam.
The incident occurred at around 9:15 pm in the Central Market area. The bomb, which police suspect was triggered by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), was reportedly placed on a bicycle.
The injured have been taken to the Sibsagar Civil Hospital. One of them, 32-year-old Nirod Das, later succumbed to his injuries.
Glass panes of some nearby constructions were also shattered by the impact of the blast.
