New Delhi: A day after he launched tirade against his party, the BJP, former Uttarakhand chief minister BC Khanduri reiterated on Thursday that one man cannot be held responsible for the party's poll debacle.
"I had support of a majority BJP MLAs in Uttarakhand. The reason for my removal must have been some other. How can one man be held responsible for the party's poll loss?" Khanduri said.
He also said that infighting is hurting the party and hoped that it ends soon.
Khanduri, however, denied to comment on whether he had sent any letter to the top BJP brass, adding that any kind of leak is not good.
According to sources, the BJP president has denied receiving any letter from Khanduri.
Khanduri claims that he was made a scapegoat when he was widely blamed for leading the party to its worst-ever performance in the Uttarakhand Assembly elections. Now, he wants the BJP leadership to rethink his removal.
