The Maoists on Sunday night attacked Asia's largest bauxite mine in Orissa's Koraput district. At least 11 CISF jawans and 4 Maoists were killed in the encounter between the two sides.
A commando operation has been launched against Maoist attackers in Damanjodi mines. Sources say two choppers have been pressed into service and around 50 Maoists have been tracked down.
This morning security forces launched a massive combing operation in the area and seized four vehicles and the stock of explosives Maoists had looted.
