Other victims' families

Hyderabad:

It is difficult to describe in words the trauma and tension faced by the families of those on board that chopper which crashed. Their loves one have been missing for over 24 hours. The end to the wait was even bitter.

Dr Subramanyam, IAS, was a senior bureaucrat and right hand man of Dr Rajasekhara Reddy. He dutifully accompanied his chief minister to take stock of the drought situation in three districts. His son and daughter all of eight and six can't come to terms with the fact that their father has returned home dead.

"It is unfortunate that they took off despite knowing that the weather condition is so bad. We cannot bear this loss," said Shobana, sister-in-law.

John Wesley, the chief security officer, who took charge just three months ago is survived by two children as well. Those who knew him well, vouch he would have his end done his duty of trying to save the chief minister.

"Officer was sincere and very committed..." said Karunakar Reddy.

The families of group captain SK Bhatia and M S Reddy mourned silently too.

But there one common question all the family members ask including relatives of the chief minister, if it was known the weather was bad, on whose instruction did the chopper take off? And what exactly caused the death of their loved ones.
