Our troops didn't cross Line of Control: Pak envoy to NDTV

New Delhi: The Indian government summoned Pakistan's High Commissioner Salman Bashir to protest against yesterday's attack in which Pakistani troops crossed over the Line of Control in Kashmir and killed two jawans. One of the bodies was found decapitated. Below are the highlights of his interview with NDTV:

• Preliminary enquiry by Pakistan rules out Pakistan intrusion and killings by soldiers
• We have since yesterday investigated and found that Pakistan troops did not cross the LOC
  
• If that is not acceptable then what other alternative is there other than a UN probe
  
• Pakistan ready for a probe by UN
• Need to de- escalate tensions between the two countries
• Both sides agreed today to maintain ceasefire
• Why we chose to enter into a comprehensive dialogue I don't know
