Over 100 persons have been taken ill after consuming contaminated water in Padherachadu village in adjoining Vidisha district, official said on Saturday.
"Over 100 persons have complained of vomiting and dysentery soon after consuming contaminated water from a hand pump in the village on Friday," they added.
About 21 villagers have been admitted in Guna district's Aron Hospital while the remaining were being treated at the village by teams of doctors from Vidisha and Guna districts, District Chief Medical and Health Officer, Dr M K Pippal who visited the village said.
He said the situation is now under control and the victims are being treated in Aron Hospital as well as in camps put up at the village.
