New Delhi: Pakistan today offered India counter-terrorism co-operation in the backdrop of the arrest of Abu Jundal, aka Abu Hamza, a LeT terrorist and key handler of attackers who struck Mumbai in 2008.

Maintaining that Pakistan has been at the forefront in the campaign against terror, the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi said terrorism is a common concern.

"As agreed at the highest level between Pakistan and India, terrorism is a common concern and counter-terrorism co-operation is in the mutual interest of both countries.

"Pakistan has renewed its offer of co-operation in this domain," the High Commission said in a statement said without elaborating.

Abu Jundal, alias Zaibuddin Ansari, was arrested by Delhi Police after he was deported by Saudi Arabia on June 21.

He had been staying there on a Pakistani passport and is alleged to have been on a recruiting mission for LeT.
