New Delhi: India has slammed Pakistan, saying it had not shown "sincerity and decisiveness" on the Mumbai attacks issue despite being given "irrefutable evidence" and is continuing with the policy of "state-sponsored terrorism".
Speaking about the issue, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said on Monday that Pakistan's response on Mumbai attacks was "not adequate" even though Islamabad knows the people responsible.
"Americans have told them (Pakistan), intelligence people have said who are the culprits," Singh told reporters in New Delhi when asked if India was satisfied with Islamabad's response with regard to probe into Mumbai attacks.
He was speaking after releasing a book authored by Infosys Chief Mentor N R Narayan Murthy.
Asked whether there was any contact with Pakistan in recent days, Singh said "after 26/11 there is very little contact except at the diplomatic level".
He also voiced concern over growing Taliban dominance in Pakistan's SWAT and Federally Administered Tribal Areas. "This is a cause of worry to us. This is a problem we cannot solve on our own, we have to work with international community."
Defence Minister A K Antony, at a separate function, said Pakistan has not displayed "sincerity and decisiveness" in dealing with perpetrators of the Mumbai attacks despite being provided with "irrefutable evidence".
