Ahmedabad:
The Pakistan Marine Security Agency (PMSA) has apprehended 40 Indian fishermen and seized nine fishing boats from international waters off Jakhau coast, a fishermen body said in Ahmedabad today.
"Nine fishing boats were seized and 40 Indian fishermen, all from Gujarat, have been apprehended by the Pakistan Marine Security Agency off Arabian sea coast here," Porbandar Boat Association vice-president Manish Lodhari said.
Twenty other fishermen along with a boat were, however, released by PMSA, who will reach Ahmedabad this evening. The apprehended fishermen would be taken to Karachi, he said.
