New Delhi: Pakistan has asked India to present it with methods of teachers' training and research materials of various teacher training institutes.
According to sources, Pakistan Directorate of Staff Development in Lahore has requested the National Council of Teacher Education to share teaching qualities which it wants to incorporate in its training programme.
Appreciating the teachers' training programme in India, the Pakistani Directorate has sought presentation on functioning, responsibilities and related modalities about involvement of NCERT and the role of NCTE in continuing professional development programme.
Sources said the NCTE has forwarded the request to the Centre for political clearance while the Human Resource Department Ministry has sought details from NCTE on the matter.
