Barmer, Rajasthan: The Pakistani couple who was denied permission to board the Thar Express at Rajasthan's Munabao railway station four days ago, finally got a visa for their 15-day-old son from the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi, the family sources said in Barmer in Rajasthan.
Mai Fatima and her husband Meer Mohammed, after meeting the Pakistan High Commission officials, received the visa for their baby boy born in Jaisalmer on April 14, their relative Rasool Khan told PTI over phone.
Fatima, who was pregnant, had come with her husband to Jaisalmer on February 22 to meet her mother after her father's death. She delivered a baby boy on April 14 at a private hospital.
But when the parents tried to return to Pakistan, the authorities reportedly refused to allow the family to cross the border as the child's name does not figure on the parents' passport.
However the local municipal council also issued a birth certificate to the newborn on April 21.
