A Pakistani woman's desire to meet Bollywood actor Salman Khan has landed her behind bars in Jalandhar, Punjab.

A Pakistani woman's desire to meet Bollywood actor Salman Khan has landed her behind bars, for allegedly crossing into India without valid travel documents through the Attari border in Jalandhar, Punjab, according to officials.
A senior police officer of the Railways Police, Makhan Singh said, "A Pakistani woman travelling without passport, visa and a ticket on Attari-Delhi special train no 14002 was arrested late last night here."
The 27-year-old has been identified as Chanda Khan, she is married to one Salman Khan in Karachi, gave many reasons for entering India. The woman first said that she was going to Delhi to pray for her son at a dargah, but said later that she wanted to catch a glimpse of "Bajrangi Bhaijan" actor Salman Khan.
The actor's latest blockbuster movie, Bajrangi Bhaijan, that was released earlier this month, has been a hit across the border in Pakistan as well, raking in more than Rs 300 crore. Mr Khan plays the role of a devotee of Lord Hanuman named Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi who undertakes a journey from India to escort a six-year-old mute Pakistani girl back to her village.
The police have recovered 771 Pakistani Rupees from her, Mr Singh said, "During interrogation, the woman claimed that she went through checking at both Lahore and Attari. When contacted, the authorities at Attari said they had no information about Chanda Khan."
The woman has been booked under Sections 3/34, 20 of the Indian Passport Act, which applies to persons who are not citizens of India and enter the country without valid documents required. She has been handed over to Railways Police at Attari, according to officials.
