New Delhi: The Budget Session of Parliament today started with the address by President Droupadi Murmu to a joint sitting.
During her address, President Murmu said she is "confident that we will have a positive discussion" in the new Parliament building.
Listing the Centre's achievements, she said that nearly 25 crore people have come out of poverty in the 10-year rule of her government.
The session, which is scheduled to conclude on February 9, will also witness Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presenting the interim budget on February 1.
